The Eastern Oregon Rural Alliance is organized and operated to carry out it's mission of actively supporting development and implementation of policies and programs that strengthen communities and the economy in Eastern Oregon and thereby the State of Oregon.

It is in the best interest of the State of Oregon and it=s people, to have a strong, viable rural economy. Nothing is gained for future generations of Oregonians to have their rural communities wither and die. 

Rural Oregon is a unique resource enjoyed by all Oregonians whether they reside in urban, suburban or rural areas of the state.  The qualities that are associated with rural Oregon, the vastness, beauty, natural resources, and the independence and self-reliance of its people, contribute to the rich tapestry that is Oregon country. It is important to preserve, maintain and enhance this heritage.
